THE STORY SO FAR .....
Kathy Smith and Stosie Madi have been in the hospitality industry for 17 years and this is their latest venture, The Parkers Arms in Newton -in- Bowland near Clitheroe, a Lancashire pub in the heart of the Trough of Bowland in The Ribble Valley. The Parkers Arms will be a gastro pub in the sense that it will offer Lancashire regional classic pub food using Lancashire's finest local produce but with a lighter modern touch, a selected wine list and real ales including ales from Bowland Breweries the Ribble Valley's very own award winning brewers near Clitheroe. We will offer rooms in the spring for walkers and tourists visiting Lancashire, details will be found here. At present The Parkers Arms has just had a major electrical refurbishment which will be followed by a full cosmetic and structural refurbishment projected to start in the late spring 2008 and hopefully to be completed in the middle of 2008.

We aim for a rustic yet contemporary décor, warm and welcoming in the true Lancashire way yet classically casual and functional as an English pub should be. Until the refurbishment is complete we urge you to bear with us on any missing comforts and let us offer you what we do best, great food,a warm welcome, fine wine and good real ale. Eating out in the Ribble Valley is always a special occasion but in the middle of an area of outstanding natural beaty as majestic as the Trough of Bowland The Parkers Arms flanked by fells and a wonderful Hodder river view makes dining out in Lancashire a real treat.

We would like to welcome any suggestions you may have for our refurbishment process, we will listen and aim to incorporate them if possible.
